Cheap Politcs

Following the short-lived excitement about the RNC Barack Obama is once again ahead in the polls.  Once again John McCain, in a cheap attempt to shift the spotlight off of Obama and onto himself has made a baffling move to postpone his campaign to go to Washington.  This is just another political strategy to create controversey, a way to shift the focus of the media away from Obama back to himself, just like he did in selecting Sarah Palin as a running mate.
Despite being told the negotians were delicate, and the last thing needed were presidential politics in Washington right now McCain, in typical bull-headed republican manner, insisted on doing it his way.  Not for the good of the country, but for the good of himself, make no mistake about that.  McCain is a true politician.
Barack Obama in his quiet, even tone and intelligent thoughtful manner has been quietly making all the right choices.  McCain has continually tried to lure Obama into a dirty campaign.  From the start when Obama was ahead in the polls McCain whined that the media was giving all the attention to Obama.  Throughout it all, Obama has tried to remain dignified and respectful.  No one will dispute McCains honor for being a POW in Vietnam, but that doesn't make him qualified to be our president.  Dare I say, he might even be at a psychological disadvantage, having gone through what he has. On top of that, choosing a running mate with little qualifications when it is clear he may not make it through a demanding 4 years presidency puts him at a distinct disadvantage.  In his pathetic attempt to steer the media away from focusing on Barack Obama  he will only wind up doing more harm than good to his campaign in the long run.
The American people are not stupid, or blind.  We see what he's doing and only respect Barack Obama more for being the leader he has shown himself worthy of being.
